Distribution: NJ to central FL to west TX to KS. Kentucky records are scattered throughout the state, but most are from the Interior Plateau (Map 056).

Larval host plants: Baccharis neglecta , Carya illinoiensis , Cornus florida , Maclura pomifera , Sapindus drummondii , Sophora secundiflora and Yucca elata ( Linsley & Chemsak 1997) .
Chemical lures: (R)-3-hydroxyhexan-2-one ( Mitchell et al. 2015)
Comments: This species flies earlier than its congeners in Kentucky, with most records occurring in April (as opposed to May-June for the others) when it can be found on dogwood flowers. A series of 29 specimens was taken in a single trap in Madison County in April of 2016 using the combination lure of C6 ketols, C6 diols & fuscumol .
