Distribution: Southeastern PQ to GA to MO to MN. Kentucky specimens were collected in the east-central part of the state ( Interior Plateau and Western Allegheny Plateau; Map 137).

Collection methods: Flowering tree (3); dead tree trunk after dark (3); panel trap baited with: C6 diols + C6 ketols + fuscumol (17), C6 ketols (1), methyl-butanol (1)
Larval host plants: Castanea sativa , Ostrya and Quercus ( Monné & Nearns 2022c)
Chemical lures: 3R*-ketone + 2,3-diols ( Hanks & Millar 2013)
Comments: A spring species with adults active in April and May. EGC collected a series on a small dead standing tree after 11 PM about 50 m from a blacklight—they never came to the light. Kentucky specimens were most frequently collected with C6 diols + C6 ketols + fuscumol .
