Distribution: NB to northern FL to south TX to CO. Kentucky specimens are from the north central part of the state ( Interior Plateau ; Map 019).

Collection methods: nr

Larval host plants: Apparently restricted to Cupressaceae ( Chamaecyparis , Cupressus , Juniperus , Thuja ) ( Bousquet et al. 2017)

Comments: Attracted to lights. Unbaited Lindgren funnel traps ( Webster et al. 2016) and beating recently dead host tree branches ( Bousquet et al. 2017) are effective collecting methods.
