Distribution: NS to SC to central TX to southern MB. Kentucky specimens were from the central part of the state ( Interior Plateau and Southwestern Appalachians; Map 194).

Larval host plants: Acer rubrum , Carya , Castanea , Hamamelis virginiana , Liriodendron tulipifera , Nyssa sylvatica , Tilia americana , Ulmus americana ( Monné & Nearns 2022b) and Betula ( Bousquet et al. 2017)
Adult flower hosts: Achillea , Cornus , Hydrangea arborescens , Sambucus nigra canadensis , Tragopogon , Viburnum ( Lingafelter 2007) , Chrysanthemum , Rhus and Spiraea ( Bousquet et al. 2017)
Comments: Adults are diurnal and found on flowers.
