Distribution: NS to the FL panhandle to western AR to southern MB. Kentucky specimens are from the eastern half of the state ( Interior Plateau and Western Allegheny Plateau; Map 186).

Larval host plants: Carya , Castanea , Fagus , Juglans and Quercus ( Chemsak 2005) and Acer ( Lingafelter 2007)
Adult flower hosts: Actinidia , Aruncus , Ceanothus , Cornus and Hydrangea ( Chemsak 2005) and Tragopogon ( Lingafelter 2007)
Comments: A diurnal species most often collected from flowers. Also attracted to fermenting sugar and occasionally to lights.
