Larval host plants: Feeds in living roots of Castanea dentata , Pyrus , Quercus , Sorbus , Zea mays ( Monné & Nearns 2022a) and Carya illinoinensis ( Lingafelter 2007)
Chemical lures: Barbour et al. (2011) reported that males are attracted to the female-produced pheromone (3 R,5 S)-3,5-dimethyldodecanoic acid
Comments: Attracted to lights.
