Short description.
Snails. Shell (very) small, dextral, conical, ovoid or sometimes lenticular. Sculpture inconspicuous, consisting of very fine spiral striation and/or radial riblets. Aperture without teeth or lamellae, peristome neither thickened nor reflected. Umbilicus closed, or covered by a thin callus extending from the peristome, or open, narrow (Family description adapted from Baker 1941, Solem 1966).
Habitat and distribution.
Generally dwelling in litter and low vegetation. Worldwide.
