Diagnosis. The male of the new species can be distinguished from H. zhangzezhongi Lin & Li , sp. nov. by the extremely distinct embolic base outgrowth, width approximately equal to bulb width (vs. embolic base outgrowth inconspicuous), ventro-retrolateral tibial apophysis longer than dorsal retrolateral tibial apophysis (vs. as long as dorsal retrolateral tibial apophysis) and opisthosoma with black pattern.
Description. Male (holotype). Total length 2.81, carapace 1.38 long, 1.04 wide, opisthosoma 0.89 long, 1.41 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME absent, ALE 0.10, PME 0.09, PLE 0.08, ALE–ALE 0.06, PME–PME 0.07, PME–PLE 0.03, ALE–PME 0.03, ALE–PLE 0.01. Chelicerae with 5 promarginal and 8 retromarginal teeth. Leg measurements: I 4.64 (1.33, 1.69, 0.95, 0.67), II 3.63 (1.09, 1.25, 0.76, 0.53), III 3.10 (0.94, 1.02, 0.71, 0.43), IV 4.08 (1.17, 1.41, 0.95, 0.55).
Coloration ( Fig. 16C View Figure 16 ). Carapace yellow to brown. Cephalic region brown, thoracic region pale yellow. Cervical and radial furrows distinct. Fovea obvious, longitudinal. Chelicerae brown. Endites and labium yellowish brown. Sternum yellowish brown. Legs brown with black setae. Opisthosoma oval, gray, without any pattern. Spinnerets gray.
Palp ( Fig. 14 View Figure 14 ). Femur almost 4 times longer than patella. Tibia 1.5 times longer than patella. Tibia with 2 apophyses: retrolateral one divided into 2 parts: ventral apophysis longer than dorsal apophysis. Dorsal tibial apophysis elongated and curved, strongly sclerotized, without bifurcation, tip sharp. Retro-proximal cymbial outgrowth inconspicuous. Tegular apophysis with a small needle-like process at base. Conductor membranous, partially wrapped around embolus. Embolus curved, originating at approximately 9:00-o’clock-position, basally with an outgrowth, almost as long as embolus.
Female. Unknown.
Material examined. Holotype ♂ (IZCAS-Ar44810), China: Yunnan, Baoshan City , Longling Co., Gaoligong National Park (24.828972°N, 98.7675°E, elev. 2177 m), 4.XII.2013, Yucheng Lin and Jie Liu leg. GoogleMaps
