Type species. Gyro zeppeli Lin & Li , sp. nov.
Etymology. The specific name is an arbitrary combination of letters; masculine in gender.
Diagnosis. Gyro Lin & Li , gen. nov. can be distinguished from other genera of Hadrotarsinae by the stout legs, opisthosoma with 2 pairs of conspicuous muscle sigillae, the epigynal plate with a triangular hood and secondary spermathecae more sclerotized than primary spermathecae.
Description. Total length 0.64. Carapace oval, covered with sparse black setae, yellowish brown. Furrows inconspicuous. Fovea inconspicuous. AER strongly procurved, PER recurved in dorsal view. All eyes encircled with black. Eyes subequal in size. Cheliceral teeth absent. Opisthosoma oval, gray, covered with sparse black setae, venter with 2 pairs of muscle sigillae.
Genitalia. Epigynal plate oval, with triangular hood anteriorly. Atrium oval, copulatory openings located laterally, situated medially. Primary spermathecae membranous, secondary spermathecae sclerotized. Fertilization ducts small.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Species included. Gyro zeppeli Lin & Li , sp. nov.
Remarks. Based on the presence of two pairs of spermathecae, cheliceral promargin without teeth and carapace nearly as wide as long. This new genus should belong to Hadrotarsinae .
