Oreumenoides Giordani Soika 1961: 245 View in CoL , Type species: Eumenes edwardsi de Saussure, 1852 , by original designation.

Diagnosis. This monotypic genus is similar with Phimenes . Mandibles elongate, longer than length of clypeus. Clypeus longer than wide, weakly emarginate apically. Cephalic foveae absent. Vertex sloping behind lateral ocelli. Anterior face of pronotum smooth and shiny without medial pits or foveae. Pronotal carina generally incomplete, present only dorsally. Epicnemial carina absent. Pretegula carina present. Tegula longer than wide, not emarginate adjoining parategula, not reaching parategula posteriorly. Scutellum flat. Metanotum not dentate. Axillary fossa wide. Propodeal dorsum below plane of metanotum. Superior carina usually absent. Propodeal orifice wide dorsally. Submarginal carina not produced as pointed/rounded process above valvula. Propodeal vuvlula not separated from submarginal carina posteriorly. Metasoma petiolate, petiole length 1.25x or more than 1.25 × length of mesosoma. T1 usually smooth, elongate ( Fig. 77 View FIGURES 74 – 78 ). S1 rather gradually widening towards apex, lateral margins of T1 not meeting ventrally usually visible along entire petiole length. T2 petiolate at base and without apical lamella. Mid tibia with one apical spur. SMC2 basally acute. Prestigma shorter or equals to pterostigma ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 55 – 63 ). ♂: F11 minute, not hooked; no cavity on apical flagellomeres ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ). Body length usually 20 mm.
