Distribution. Lebanon. West Palaearctic from Europe and North Africa to the Caucasus. All the specimens in Linsenmaier’s collection were identified as Chrysis comparata orientica Linsenmaier, 1959 (replacement name for C. chevrieri orientalis Mocsáry, 1889 ), known for Caucasus and Anatolia. It is the eastern form with the male almost or fully green coloured.
Remarks. Found in several wooded areas comprising Quercus sp. and Cedrus libani .
