Geographic distribution: Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Togo, Ghana, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, Ivory Coast, People`s Republic of Congo, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya.

Distribution in Guinea –Bissau: 5, 6, 8, 11B, 16, 17, 27, 28, 34, 35, 36, 39B, 40, 41, 43, 44, 45, 46.

Remarks: A species with a wide distribution throughout western, central and eastern Africa. L. luxerii is one of the most common tiger beetles in Guinea-Bissau, occurring in open and sunny habitats, such as clearances, paths and footways. This species is sometimes syntopic with Myriochila vicina (Dejean) .
