Remark.
This is a phytophagous coccinellid. Members of this species were found to be associated with squash and cucurbits. This species is phytophagous and has been reported as a serious pest of Cucurbitaceae ( Raimundo and van Harten 2000).

Local distribution.
This species is widely distributed in Saudi Arabia and was collected from Asir, Bahah, Jizan, Makkah, Riyadh, and Qaseem. It was previously recorded from Zilfi approximately 160 miles northwest of Riyadh by Kapur (1959); from Eastern Province, Riyadh, Makkah, and Tabouk by Beccari (1971); and from Riyadh by Fürsch (1979) and listed by Martin (1972) and Walker and Pittaway (1987).
