The teeth of this genus are intermediate in form between those of Laelaps and Paronychodon . They have one flat and one convex side, whose junctions form the anterior and posterior edges of the crown as in the latter genus; and like the latter, there is, no anterior cutting edge, but instead, a solid angle. But the posterior edge is denticulate as in Laelaps , and the plicae or keels of Paronyclrodon are here only recognizable in low angles. Some light may be cast 0 n the affinities of the latter genus by the discovery of Zapsalis .
