[New Caledonia] "in loco “Pouembou” dicto, Novae Caledoniae".

Label.

"Pouembou (N. Cie)", label in Crosse’s handwriting glued on dorsal side of shell.

Dimensions.

"Longit. 56 millim., diam. maj. 28."; holotype H 57.5, D 30.0, W 6.0.

Type material.

NHMUK 1929.9.14.7, holotype (ex Crosse ex Marie).

Remarks.

The type status of this specimen has been discussed by Neubert et al. (2009); they concluded that it should be considered the holotype.
