Sphaeroceridae View in CoL ( Figs. 105–106 View FIGURES 105–110 )
The sphaerocerids worldwide comprise over 1,550 species, grouped into six subfamilies and 144 genera ( Marshall et al. 2011), three of which are restricted to the Neotropical Region: Archiborborinae ( Kits et al. 2013) , Tucminae ( Marshall 1996) and Homalomitrinae ( Roháček & Marshall 1998) . The most important contributions to the knowledge of the family in Chile were made by Buck & Marshall (2009), Kits & Marshall (2011), and Marshall et al. (2011). There are 15 genera and 62 species presently known from Chile.
