Distribution outside Thailand: Bali, Borneo, and Indonesia ( Diakonoff 1973), China ( Diakonoff 1973, Kawabe et al. 1992), Japan ( Nasu & Komai 2013), Vietnam ( Nedoshivina 2013), and Laos ( Pinkaew & Phewphanh 2017).

Host plants: In Thailand, caterpillars feed on Anacardiaceae : Mangifera indica , Annonaceae : Polyalthia cauliflora , Clusiaceae : Garcinia mangostana , Sapindaceae Dimocarpus longan , Nephelium lappaceum , and Xerospermum noronhianum ( Brown et al. 2019; Kuroko & Lewvanich 1993; Robinson et al. 2023). Caterpillars also feed on Euphorbiaceae : Aleurites sp. , Nephelium sp. , and Ricinus sp. , Fabaceae : Acacia mangium , Lamiaceae : Perilla sp. , Oxalidaceae : Averrhoa carambola , Malvaceae : Durio sp. , Myrtaceae : Syzygium sp. , Rutaceae : Citrus sp. , Theaceae : Camellia sinensis , and Verbenaceae : Lantana sp. ( Diakonoff 1973; Robinson et al. 2023).

Remarks: Specimens from Thailand were collected in agroforestry area, recovered forest of old para-rubber plantation, moist evergreen forest, mixed deciduous forest, deciduous dipterocarp forest, dry evergreen forest, and hill evergreen forest at 19– 1,500 m. Robinson et al. (1994) also reported this species from Thailand but did not mention about province, location, and elevation.
