Measurements data: Female forewing: 11.9–15 mm, n= 84; male forewing: 9–10.9 mm, n= 65.

Description of female. Subgenital plate light brown, 4-lobed ( Fig. 4A ); lateral lobes larger than paramedial lobes; sublateral notch deeper than median notch. Sternum 8 and 9 with patches of hair. Egg elongate oval ( Fig. 4B ), 0.21 x 0.356.

Remarks. Righi-Cavallaro & Lecci (2010) described this species from the municipality of Chapadão do Sul, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The penial armature agrees with original description ( Righi-Cavallaro & Lecci 2010). However, in lateral view, dorsal portion nearest to the base of the penial armature studied here is concave, but indicated as convex in Righi-Cavallaro & Lecci (2010). Additionally, our specimens differ in size from those of

Righi-Cavallaro & Lecci (2010) (male forewing length: 12.2–13.2 mm). This is the first record of A. otafroehlichi from Tocantins State and from northern Brazil.
