Comments.
Meteorus quimbayensis , originally described from Colombia from the departments of Huila, Risaralda, and Santander, it seems to be restricted to high South American Andean wet forests between 2000-2300 m above the sea level ( Aguirre et al. 2011) since it has not been recorded from Costa Rica despite the intense sampling effort in locations such as Cerro de la Muerte reaching between 2100-3000 m.
