Material examined. Holotype of pseudozonula ♂, Igedzhik , 6 km NW Kara-Kala, V. Kuznetzov, [1]953 / 10.v.1953 / mikr. prep. 7600 №, ♂, Borkhausenia pseudozonula sp. n . / Holotype Borkhausenia pseudozonula Kuzn. , teste K. Sattler, 1978 / gen. prep. 308/08 . Paratypes of pseudozonula : 2♀, same data as holotype, but 13.iv.1953, gen. prep. 309/08; 308/08 ( ZIN); 2♂, Schakuh, 9.vi, Christoph, gen. prep. 263d, K . Sattler, 1958 ( MNB).

Biology. Adults are known from West Kopet-Dagh in desert habitats at 400–500 m elevation from mid- April to mid-May.

Distribution. Turkmenistan (West Kopet-Dagh), North Iran.

Remarks. P. pseudozonula can be distinguished from the externally similar P. zonula by the light cream forewing with a narrow interrupted basal fascia ( Figs. 3, 4 View FIGURES 1–10 ). The male genitalia ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11–14 ) resemble those of P. gershensonae but differ in the broader sacculus. The female genitalia ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 15–17 ) resemble those of P. zonula but differ in the broader, abruptly truncated or rounded termination of the signum and narrow apophyses anteriores. In B. zomula the signum has a triangular termination and the apophyses anteriores are broader.
