Type Locality: Guinea-Bissau, Bissau.
Vernacular Names: Guinean Serotine.
Subspecies: :
Subspecies Neoromicia guineensis subsp. guineensis Bocage 1889
Subspecies Neoromicia guineensis subsp. rectitragus Wettstein 1916
Distribution: Senegal, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, and Guinea to Ethiopia and NE Dem. Rep. Congo; perhaps Tanzania.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt) as Eptesicus guineensis .
Discussion: This species was called pusillus by Hayman and Hill (1971), but see Koopman (1975). Tanzanian record may represent somalicus .
