Type species: Salomona pallidifrons Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1898

This Melanesian genus was recently revised by Ingrisch (2009), who increased the number of its known species from 9 to 54. During our survey in the Muller Range we encountered 3 species of this genus, including 2 additional new ones, which are described below. We found these insects at night on low vegetation in lowland and pre-montane, undisturbed rainforest.
