Promalactis trusmadiensis Wang , sp. nov.

( Figs. 4, 7‒8 View FIGURES 2‒7 View FIGURES 8‒11 )

Type material. Holotype ♂, Mt. Trusmadi (5.44°N, 116.45°E), Sabah, Malaysia, 1223 m, 17.VII.2018, coll. KJ Teng, slide No. JYY17908 GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 2 ♀, 17‒19.VII.2019, other data the same as for holotype, slide Nos. JYY17907 ♀, JYY17909 ♀; 3 ♂, 1 ♀, 6‒11.VII.2018, coll. MJ Qi, other the data same as for holotype, slide Nos. JYY17662 GoogleMaps ♂, JYY19666 ♀, LC19301 ♂.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to P. ventericoncava Wang, 2019 in the shape of the male genitalia, but it can be distinguished by the uncus bilobed distally, the Y-shaped juxta with slender lateral arms, and the valva not concave ventrodistally; whereas in P. ventericoncava , the uncus is not bilobed distally, the juxta lacks lateral arms, and the ventral margin of the valva is semicircularly concave distally ( Wang & Liu 2019: 294).

Description. Adult ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 2‒7 ). Wingspan 8.0‒10.0 mm.

Head white, with scattered yellow scales laterally. Labial palpus white, second segment with basal 2/3 yellow on outer surface, third segment with distal 1/3 black. Antenna white except scape black apically and flagellum annulated with blackish brown on dorsal surface.

Thorax and tegula orange yellow. Forewing orange yellow from base to basal 3/5, thereafter pale ocherous brown with sporadic black scales along termen; with three white fasciae: basal fascia at proximal base, oblique outward; antemedian fascia extending from about basal 1/4 of costal margin to before middle of dorsum, straight, widened anteriorly; postmedian fascia from about basal 3/5 of costal margin to dorsum before end of fold, slightly oblique inward, inner margin straight, outer margin with anterior half extended outward, forming a sub-quadrate grey spot with scattered black scales on its outer margin, posterior 2/5 extended outward triangularly, forming a triangular grey spot with scattered black scales; apical spot white, ovate; cilia pale ocherous yellow along distal part of costal margin, greyish yellow tinged with black-tipped scales along termen. Hindwing and cilia grey. Fore- and midlegs cream white, tibiae and tarsi brown on outside, fore tibia with white tuft at apex, tarsi white at apices of basal, second and distal tarsomeres; hindleg whitish yellow ventrally, greyish brown dorsally except brown tarsus dirty white at apex of each tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 2‒7 ). Uncus with basal half parallel sided, distal half deeply and narrowly concave at middle from posterior margin, forming two strong lobes, each lobe thumb-shaped, with a few setae, rounded apically. Tegumen narrow, bifurcate from posterior 1/3, anterior 2/3 slightly narrowed to rounded apex. Valva narrow at base, widened to apex; apex bilobed: dorsal lobe sub-triangular, with dense long setae; ventral lobe narrower and longer, sharply narrowed to pointed apex, with strong short setae; costa very narrow, distinctly arched at distal 1/4. Sacculus wide at base, narrowed to beyond middle of ventral margin, densely setose from end of sacculus to base of ventral lobe, forming a rectangular setose patch. Saccus clubbed, parallel laterally to before rounded apex, longer than valva. Juxta Y-shaped, basal lobe very long, about four times length of lateral arm; lateral arm slender, rod-shaped, pointed apically. Aedeagus straight, longer than valva; with two spine-like cornuti: one very short, placed distally, another one in vesica, more than three times length of shorter one, curved.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 8‒11 ). Apophyses anteriores less than half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth tergum straight on posterior margin; sternum obtusely rounded and serrate on posterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis shorter than wide, obtuse on posterior margin, narrowed outward from middle to each end. Ductus bursae extremely elongate, with sclerotized, curved plate from base to about middle, then enlarged and with another sclerotized plate, membranous and narrowed before corpus bursae. Corpus bursae oval, densely granulous; signum a triangular plate, with several short spines, at bottom of corpus bursae.
