Lectotype (designated by Sinclair 1953: 43):— THAILAND. Payap: Chiang Mai Province, Doi Suthep, Kerr 1207 ( K [ K000691671 , K000691672 ]! [= a single specimen composed of two sheets], isolectotypes BM!, C).

Distribution: — Thailand

Etymology: —The epithet refers to the locality (Doi Suthep) where the type specimens of this species were collected.

Notes: —This species is widely distributed in northern, central, eastern, southeastern, southwestern, and southern Thailand; its morphology is somewhat heterogeneous (pers. obs., CW & TC) and, therefore, this name might consist of more than one species, awaiting molecular phylogenetic clarification.
