Remarks. A castaneous species marked with black and tawny named for the conspicuous white spots on the lateral mesothorax. This is the first cicada species reported for Bonaire.
Distribution. The species has been recorded previously from Colombia ( Sanborn 2016c). The range extension suggests the species will be found in Venezuela in the future.
Material examined for new record for Bonaire. “Bonaire, Neth/Antilles/Fall1986/ J.J. Schall // MGCL Accession/#2017- 10 P. Hanson” two females ( FSCA), one female ( AFSC) .
