Scaphobaeocera Csiki View in CoL
Scaphobaeocera Csiki, 1909: 341 View in CoL . Type species: Scaphobaeocera papuana Csiki, 1909 View in CoL ; by monotypy.
Baeotoxidium Löbl, 1971: 990 View in CoL . Type species: Baeotoxidium lanka Löbl, 1971 View in CoL ; by original designation. New Synonymy.
Comments. Baeotoxidium shares many features in common with Scaphobaeocera and in all of the most-parsimonious trees these two taxa group together consistently by the following characters (see Appendix 2): mesoventral rest and mesoventral lines paralell (53-1), mesometaventral ridge and sulcus absent (62-1 and 63-1), mesocoxae transverse (64-1) and metaventral setiferous patch present (68-1). Based on the sharing of these characters, and similarity among the two genera, we formally synonymize these two names here. Specimens we examined of Scaphobaeocera are maintained in MHNG and NZAC.
New Combinations. From Baeotoxidium : Scaphobaeocera bengalensis (Löbl, 1984) , S. elegans (Löbl, 1971) , S. gagata (Löbl, 1971) , S. lanka (Löbl, 1971) ; S. indica (Löbl, 1979) , S. siamensis (Löbl, 1990) , S. yeti (Löbl, 1992) .
