Type Locality: Philippines, NW Luzon Isl, Mt Data, 7000-8000 ft (2130-2440 m).

Vernacular Names: Small Luzon Carpomys.

Distribution: Greater Luzon Faunal Region in the Philippines. Recorded only from Mt Data and Mt Kapilingan ( Sanborn, 1952 a), but likely occurs elsewhere in mountain forests of N Luzon.

Conservation: IUCN – Data Deficient.
