Type Locality: Dominica (Lesser Antilles).
Vernacular Names: Dominican Myotis.
Distribution: Dominica, Guadeloupe.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Listed as a subspecies of nigricans by Hall and Kelson (1959), but see LaVal (1973 a) and Hall (1981). Reviewed by Masson and Breuil (1992). Apparently closely related to velifer and yumanensis ; see Ruedi and Mayer (2001).
