Rhabdophis flaviceps (Duméril, Bibron & Duméril, 1854) — Erroneous.
Orange-necked Keelback
Singapore records.
Tropidonotus leucomelas View in CoL — Ģnther, 1863: 351.
Remarks. Ģnther (1863) listed a specimen stored at NHMUK with the locality Singapore, but this appeared to be an error that he later corrected in Ģnther (1864) changing the locality to Penang. Specimen NMW-22685 was collected by Steindachner in 1910, but the locality is either incorrect or the specimen was traded in Singapore. Rhabdophis flaviceps is native to southern Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Bangka, Nias, Sumatra, and Borneo (Wallach et al. 2014). Buddle (1929) reported a R. subminiatus that he collected at SNB, whose description resembles R. flaviceps (see below).
LKCNHM & NHMUK Museum specimens. No specimens.
Additional Singapore museum specimens. Singapore (no locality): NMW.
