Remarks. Similar to H. boettgeri, Gilbert et al. (2012) included X. laevis in their list of Singaporean frogs tested for pathogens, but failed to stipulate that the species is non-native and that samples were taken from frogs in pet stores. Xenopus laevis is native to southern Africa (Channing & R̂del 2019).
