Aeolothrips tenuicornis Bagnall View in CoL

This species is found in North-West and Central Europe, and is recorded from several Mediterranean countries from the Azores to Iran ( Mortazawiha & Dern 1977; Zur Strassen 2003). Its distribution is mainly in moderate climate Regions, where it can be found in flowers of many plant species. First interception record from Ethiopia: flower auction in Aalsmeer, 24.xi.2005, Rosa —cut flower (A. O. Roes). This is the first record from the Afrotropical Region.
