Aphelopus birmanus Olmi 1984: 69 .
Description of Female. Fully winged; length 1.9–2.0 mm. Head black-brown, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown, except segments 1–2 testaceous; mesosoma black-brown; metasoma black-brown; legs testaceous, except metafemur and metatibia darkened. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 5:4:5:5:5:5:4:4 (last two segments missing in holotype). Head dull, granulated; frontal line complete; POL = 5; OL = 3; OOL = 4; OPL = 2; TL = 2; occipital carina complete. Scutum, scutellum and metanotum dull, granulated. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated. Propodeum with dorsal surface reticulate rugose; posterior surface with two longitudinal keels and median and lateral areas reticulate rugose. Metapleuron separated from propodeum by strong distinct longitudinal keel. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
Male. Unknown.
Material examined. Type: holotype ♀: MYANMAR: Kambaiti , 7000 ft., 9.V.1934, R. Malaise leg. ( BMNH). Other material: Palaearctic : CHINA: Ningxia Hui Nationality Autonomous Region, Mt. Liupanshan, Fengtai Forest Farm , 28.VI.2008, Jingxian Liu leg., 1♀ ( SCAU) .

Distribution. China (Ningxia), Myanmar (Kambaiti).
