Aphelopus philippinus Olmi 1984: 69 .

Description of Male. Fully winged; length 1.5–1.6 mm. Head brown, except mandible, clypeus and malar space testaceous; antenna testaceous-brown; mesosoma brown; metasoma brown-testaceous; legs testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennal segments in following proportions: 4:4:5:6:6:7:7:7:7:7. Head dull, granulated; frontal line complete; POL = 6; OL = 4; OOL = 3; OPL = 4; TL = 4; occipital carina complete. Scutum dull, granulated. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated. Scutellum and metanotum shiny, smooth, very slightly granulated. Propodeum with dorsal surface reticulate rugose; posterior surface with two distinct longitudinal keels and median and lateral areas reticulate rugose. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands. Basivolsella ( Plate 8F ) with two subdistal bristles and a small outer process. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Material examined. Type: holotype ♂: PHILIPPINES: Palawan, Mantalingajan, Pinigisan , 600 m, 8.IX.1961, Noona Dan Exp. 61–62 ( ZMK) . Other material. MALAYSIA: Malaya, Kepong , 1♂ ( AMNH) .

Hosts. Unknown.

Distribution. Philippines (Palawan), Malaysia (Malaya).
