Burmanteon Engel 2003: 617 .

Type species. Burmanteon olmii Engel, 2003 , by original designation and monotypy.

Diagnosis. Female: ( Plate 52A – D ): fully winged ( Plate 52E ); occipital carina complete; pronotum with a distinct anterior collar and a posterior disc separated by a transverse impression ( Plate 52A ); posterior surface of pronotum swollen and with a flat surface; pronotal tubercle present; fore wing with three cells enclosed by pigmented veins (costal, median and submedian) ( Plate 52G ), stigmal vein and pterostigma present ( Plate 52G ), distal part of stigmal vein much longer than proximal part ( Plate 52E, G ) and media vein (M) partly present and strongly sclerotized ( Plate 52H ); protarsus chelate ( Plate 52C, F ); chela without rudimentary claw; enlarged claw not spatulate ( Plate 52H ); inner side of enlarged claw with a row of at least 4 bristles, all longer than greatest breadth of enlarged claw ( Plate 52H ); protrochanter short and not slender; epicnemium not distinct; tibial spurs 1/1/ 2. Male: unknown.

Distribution. Present only in the Oriental region.

Hosts. Unknown.

World species. One fossil species is known.
