Bocchus banianus Olmi 1993d: 38 .

Description of Male. Fully winged; length 2.5–2.9 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs testaceous. In paratype antenna testaceous, except segments 3–10 brown, and legs testaceous, except coxae, clubs of femora and metatibia brown. Antenna filiform; antennal segments in following proportions: 15:8:12:10:9:9:8:8:7:10. Head dull, completely reticulate rugose; face with pointed apophysis between antennal toruli; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; POL = 2.5; OL = 2; OOL = 9; OPL = 9; TL = 6. Scutum dull, reticulate rugose. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between notauli longer than POL (9: 2.5 in holotype; 9: 4.5 in paratype). Scutellum shiny, smooth, punctate, unsculptured among punctures, slightly rugose near posterior margin; in paratype posterior half of scutellum reticulate rugose. Metanotum shiny, smooth, unsculptured; in paratype metanotum completely reticulate rugose. Propodeum without lateral pointed apophyses, with strong transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface; dorsal surface reticulate rugose, with very wide areolae; posterior surface with two longitudinal keels and lateral areas and median area shiny, smooth, unsculptured; occasionally lateral areas rugose. Fore wing of holotype with distal half slightly darkened, rest of wing hyaline; in paratype fore wing completely hyaline, without dark transverse bands; stigmal vein with distal part about as long as proximal part. Petiole very short, almost absent. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

THAILAND: Doi Inthanon National Park, 70 Km SW Chiang Mai, Vachiratharn Falls , 800 m ( PMA) .

Distribution. Laos (Vientiane, Sayaboury), Viet Nam (Gia Lai), India (Uttar Pradesh), Thailand (Chiang Mai).
