Antenna clavate; antennal segments of holotype in following proportions: 13:7:48:18:19:10:10:8:6:9; antennal segments of smaller specimen from Japan, Imakira-dake, in following proportions: 11:5:22:10:9:8:6:5.5:4.5:8; antennal segments of smaller specimen from Japan, Komi, in following proportions: 9:5:19.5:8.5:6:6:5:5:4.5:7.5. Head dull, hairless, excavated, with dorsal and ventral surface granulated; frontal line incomplete, not present in anterior third of face; in specimen from Japan, Jokoji, face with some tracks of short transverse keels; occipital carina complete, laterally not reaching eyes; ocellar triangle with few irregular keels joining ocelli; holotype with POL = 3; OL = 4; OOL = 11; OPL = 1; TL = 2; greatest breadth of the posterior ocelli longer than TL (3:2). In specimen from Japan, Imakira-dake, POL = 2.5; OL = 3; OOL = 9.5; OPL = 1; TL = 2.5; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli longer than TL (3:2.5). In specimen from Japan, Jokoji, TL as long as greatest breadth of posterior ocelli. In specimen from Japan, Komi, POL = 2; OL = 3; OOL = 8; OPL = 0.5; TL = 2; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli about as long as TL. Scutum dull, smooth, granulated, with few areolae near posterior margin. Notauli of holotype complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between notauli longer than POL (6:3). In specimens from Japan notauli apparently incomplete, hardly visible among areolae present near posterior margin of scutum. Scutellum dull, granulated. Metanotum of holotype with anterior half reticulate rugose and posterior half smooth; in specimens from Japan metanotum partly or totally rugose. Mesopleura dull, reticulate rugose. Metapleura dull, strongly transversely striate.
