Generitype of Terminalia Linnaeus , nom. cons.

Current name: Terminalia catappa L. View in CoL ( Combretaceae ).

Note: Terminalia Linnaeus , nom. cons. against Bucida L. and Adamaram Adans. Smith (in Brittonia 23: 405. 1971) regarded Exell (in J. Bot. 69: 125. 1931) as having typified the name by a sheet in LINN but Exell notes, in the context of establishing a generitype, that T. catappa is the only species represented in LINN.
