( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 86–94 )

Dilasia fuscula Reuter, 1871: 563 .

Lasiochilus fusculus: Reuter, 1884: 22 .

Lasiochilus comitialis Drake & Harris, 1926: 34 . (synonymized by Carpintero, 2002: 27).

Diagnostic characters: Measurements, see Table IV. Male: Characterized by the combination of characters as follows: general coloration reddish brown, antennal segment II slightly longer than length of head, thickened at apex; antennal segments (I:II:III:IV) 1: 2.4: 1.9: 2.0; head prolonged anteriorly from the base of antennae, short and thick forefemorae, ostiolar peritreme opening slightly thickened apically; copulatory spines short and thick ( Fig. 102 View FIGURES 102–106 ); pygophore ( Fig. 103 View FIGURES 102–106 ) with punctures on dorsal surface ( Fig. 105 View FIGURES 102–106 ); aedeagus with processus penniformis ( Fig. 104 View FIGURES 102–106 ); left paramere hammer-type, nearly straight, with characteristic three erect hairs on subapical area of dorsal margin ( Fig. 106 View FIGURES 102–106 ), as well as their own measurements. Female: Similar to male in coloration and measurements. Antennal segments (I:II:III:IV) 1: 2.4: 1.9: 1.9.

Discussion: This species was well defined in Kelton’s (1978) excellent paper on Canadian Anthocoridae . This species is closely related to D. reuteri and unicolor because of their left paramere of hammer-type, but differs from them by being almost straight, i. e. not so curved, and by their coloration (reddish-brown) and measurements.
