Gloeocapsa sp. 1 ( Fig. 8M View FIGURE 8 ).
Colonies round to elongated, 14.11–85.78 µm wide. Sub-colonies ± rounded. Sheath firm, thin, non-lamellated, granulated or not in colonial margin, hyaline to orange. Cells densely or sparsely arranged, spherical, 3.19–5.8 (6.11) µm wide. Individual envelopes firm, granulated on the margin, 0.85–3.96 µm wide, non-lamellated, hyaline to orange. Cell content granulated, blue-green. Without cell in resting stage.
Habitat: —Tree bark; inside the forest associated with Stigonema corticola , Gloeocapsopsis sp. , Dapisostemon sp. , Gloeocapsa stegophila , Gloeocapsa compacta , Chlorogloea sp.1 and Hassallia byssoidea .
Notes: —This morphotype resembles Aphanothece excentrica Lemes-da-Silva et al. (though probably a Gloeocapsa species, not Aphanothece ) and Gloeocapsa stegophila . But Gloeocapsa sp.1 differs by having an intermediate value between these species in cell dimension.
