Recognition Characters. Small to medium­sized, oval, slightly robust; derm uniformly piceous; rostrum, 0.53 as long as body, broad to antennal insertion then narrowing abruptly to apex; frons narrow, 0.16 as wide as head across eyes; antennal club as long as scape, longer than funicular segments 4– 7; elytra with fascia of clavate, luteous scales basally, broad fascia before middle of clavate, luteous scales and a narrow vitta of clavate, luteous scales on intervals 1 and 2 toward apex.

Female: Length: 3.4–4.0 mm. (mean 5 3.7) Width: 1.8–2.0 mm. (mean 5 1.9) Head: Small­sized, feebly convex; punctures small, clothed with short, narrow, white to testaceous scales; eyes large, finely faceted, contiguous to anterior margin of pronotum; ventromedially below eyes with macula of short, narrow, luteous scales. Frons narrow, 0.15 as wide as head across eyes; vestiture of narrow, elongate, fuscous scales; interocular fovea lacking. Rostrum: Length: 2.0– 2.1 mm. (mean 5 2.05); 0.56 as long as body; cylindrical; thick at base to antennal insertion, dorsally abruptly narrowing to slender tube to apex; median dorsal carina flanked by a sulcus on each side to antennal insertion; punctures small, with narrow, elongate, white, to piceous scales to antennal insertion, small round punctures beyond antennal insertion to apex; gradually arced to apex; scrobe ventral; scape inserted in basal third. Antennae: Length: Scape 0.5 mm; Funiculus: segment one 0.28 mm, two 0.18 mm, three 0.1 mm, four 0.1 mm, five 0.1 mm, six 0.1 mm, seven 0.1 mm, club 0.5 mm; funicle 1.3 mm; scape 0.39 as long as funicle and club; funicular segment two almost half as long as one; vestiture of narrow, elongate, decumbent to erect, dirty, white scales; club elongate, oval, compact, clothed with velvety pile, with few erect setae, first two segments fuscous, longer than funicular segments 4–7. Thorax: Length: 1.0– 1.2 mm. Width: 1.4–1.6 mm. 0.75 as long as broad; disc margin subparallel, angled from base to constriction, slightly rounded; disc flat in lateral view, lacking median dorsal carina; punctures small, uniformly clothed dorsally, laterally and ventrally with narrow, clavate, luteous scales; base sinuate, with shallow declivity; mesosternal intercoxal process prominent, clothed with luteous scales; scutellum small, as broad as long, subimpressed with luteous scales; mesepimeron, mesepisternum, and metasternum uniformly clothed with narrow, clavate, luteous scales. Elytra: Length: 2.1–2.3 mm. Striae narrow and shallow, with narrow, elongate, fuscous scales; humeri feebly prominent, rounded; disc flat in lateral view; intervals broad, flat; lateral base of pronotum with fasica of narrow, elongate, luteous scales; anterior to middle with broad fascia of narrow, elongate, luteous scales; toward apex, with narrower fascia on intervals 1–7 of narrow, elongate, luteous scales; all other scales fuscous except for scattered, luteous scales; crosshatched setae short, stout and piceous. Legs: Length of hind femur 1.6–1.9 mm, all femora with small­sized tooth; hind femoral tooth wedge shaped; hind femur lacking proximolateral sulcus; vestiture of all femora with narrow, elongate, luteous scales, with acute apices; tibial margins subparallel, feebly sinuate; pro­ and mesouncus large, as long as tarsal claw, metauncus small, not as long as tarsal claw; scales on tarsal segments uniformly fuscous, pad of segment three luteous. Abdomen: Sternite 1 as long as 2, behind coxal cavity; sternite 2 longer than 3, ascending to 3; sternites 3 and 4 combined, not longer than 5; sternite 5 with acute apex; vestiture of all abdominal sternites of narrow, elongate, to clavate, luteous scales. Pygidium: Small , visible.

Distribution. China: Yunnan Province, Xishuangbanna, 650 M, 03 August 1958, X. Meng; Hainan Island, Ta Hian, 19 June 1935, J. L. Gressitt, (CASC).

Remarks. Genitalia for this species was not obtained. This species is unique within this group and named in honor of the senior author’s daughter Lisa.

Recognition Characters. Medium­sized, oval, robust; derm piceous; rostrum, 0.48 as long as body; frons moderately broad, 0.25 as wide as head across eyes; interocular fovea present; pronotum with basal arrow­shaped, luteous macula; scutellum small, subimpressed; elytra with basal, scutate, luteous macula, and broad luteous macula in apical half, remainder of scales fuscous.

Description. Male: Length: 3.8–5.8 mm (mean 5 4.8). Width: 1.9–3.3 mm (mean 5 2.6). Head: Moderately convex, broad; punctures small, numerous, clothed with short, narrow, white scales; ventral macula beneath eyes, of dense clavate, luteous scales; eyes large, finely faceted, partly covered by ocular lobes of pronotum; frons moderately broad, 0.25 as wide as head across eyes; sparsely clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales; interocular fovea scutate, deep. Rostrum: Length: 1.8–2.8 mm (mean 5 2.3); 0.48 as long as body; piceous basally, testaceous apically; thickly cylindrical; laterally margins subimpressed, with larger punctures basally appearing squared; dorsally thick at base to antennal insertion, then abruptly tapering to narrowing subparallel apex; evenly arced; median dorsal carina from interocular fovea to base of rostrum with medium­sized oval punctures to antennal insertion; vestiture of short, narrow, white scales; scrobe ventral; scape inserted in apical half. Width: 1.4–2.5 mm (mean 5 1.95). 0.7 as long as broad; margins of disc angled toward constriction, slightly rounded; disc flat in lateral view, with indication of median carina; punctures small, deep, close together with narrow, elongate, white to luteous, scales, basally with broad, arrow­shaped, macula of luteous scales; ventrolaterally densely clothed with clavate, luteous scales; mesosternal intercoxal process prominent, densely clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales; scutellum small, subimpressed, longer than broad, with luteous, scales; mesepimeron, mesepisternum and metepisternum clothed with elongate, clavate, luteous scales; procoxae clothed with luteous scales anteriorly, and white scales posteriorly. Elytra: Length: 2.2–3.5 mm (mean 5 2.85); Striae narrow, deep, punctate, lacking scales; humeri roundly angulate to pronotum; disc flat, with scutellar declivity; intervals broad, flat, clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales, with basal scutate macula of luteous scales, with a broad fascia of clavate, luteous scales in apical half; crosshatched setae not prominent. Legs —Length of hind femur 1.8–2.9 mm (mean 5 2.3), tooth medium­sized, larger than mesofemoral tooth, wedge shaped; profemoral tooth small, mesofemoral tooth medium­sized; hind femur stout basally, lacking proximolateral sulcus; derm fuscous; vestiture of all femora of narrow, elongate, white scales; tibial margins subparallel, almost straight; pro­, meso­ and metauncus large, longer than tarsal claw. Abdomen: Sternite 1 as long as 2 behind coxal cavity, with broad median shallow declivity; sternite 2 longer than 3, ascending to 3; sternites three and 4 combined, as long as 5; sternite 5 with acute lateral projections, apex emarginate with lateral tufts of seta­like scales; all sternites evenly clothed with clavate, luteous scales. Pygidium: Large , vertical, scutate, clothed with short, testaceous seta­like scales. Genitalia: Median lobe of aedeagus 2.0 mm in length, 0.4 mm in width, sides thick at midpoint, then opening to broad rounded opening, before tapering to long arced blunt apex clothed with long ventral setae: endophallus with fine teeth, thick in lateral view; apodeme 1.7 mm in length ( Figs. 54–55 View Figs ).

Female: Length: 4.7–4.8 mm (mean 5 4.75). Width: 2.3–2.5 mm (mean 5 2.4). Rostrum: Length: 2.2–2.5 mm (mean 5 2.35) dorsal aspect with three carinae from frons to insertion of scape; punctures deep and oval; frons lacking interocular fovea; scape inserted in basal half. Antennae: Length: Scape 0.6–0.7 mm (mean 5 0.65). Funiculus: segment one 0.40 mm, two 0.25 mm, three 0.18 mm, four 0.15 mm, five 0.15 mm, six 0.13 mm, seven 0.15 mm, club 0.40 mm; funicle 1.7 mm.; scape 0.39 as long as funicle. Thorax: Length: 1.3–1.4 mm (mean 5 1.35). Width: 1.7–1.9 mm (mean 5 1.8). Elytra: Length: 2.7–2.9 mm (mean 5 2.8). Legs: Hind femur 2.3–2.4 mm (mean 5 2.35). Abdomen: All sternites ascending; sternite 5 with rounded apex; all sternites clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales. Pygidium: Concealed. Genitalia: Spermatheca ramus and collum oblique, bifurcated; cornu thickened at base broadly tapering to an apical nipple ( Fig. 56 View Figs ).

Plant Associations. Ficus microcarpa Linnaeus

Distribution. China: Yunnan Province, Ruili, Xishuangbanna; Guangxi Province, Longrui.

Remarks. This species is distinct from all other species in this group based on general appearance and male genitalia.

Medium­sized to large, elongate, oval, moderately robust; derm uniformly piceous; rostrum, 0.58 as long as body; frons, 0.27 as broad as head across eyes; hind femoral tooth medium­sized, thorn shaped; hind femur lacks proximolateral sulcus; vestiture primarily of narrow, elongate, testaceous, with a large number of white, bifid scales mixed; mesepimeron, with dorsal fringe of white scales; scutellum white, as long as broad.

Male: Length: 5.2 mm. Width: 2.7 mm. Head: Medium­sized, moderately convex; punctures small, clothed with fine, narrow, elongate, semierect, setalike scales; ventral macula of narrow, clavate, cretaceous scales, beneath eyes; eyes large, oval, finely faceted; frons broad, 0.27 as broad as head across eyes; shallow slit­like interocular fovea, with small punctures. Rostrum: Length: 3.0 mm; 0.58 as long as body; cylindrical, thick at base, gradually tapering to apex; margins subparallel to antennal insertion becoming narrower, then expanding slightly before apex; feebly straight to antennal insertion, then curving feebly to apex; median dorsal carina from frons to antennal insertion; punctures large, oval, deep, finer after antennal insertion to apex; base with fine narrow, elongate, semierect, dirty, white seta­like scales; scrobe ventral; scape inserted in apical half. Antennae: Length of scape 1.3 mm; Funiculus: segment one 0.3 mm, two 0.25 mm, three 0.25 mm, four 0.1 mm, five 0.1 mm, six 0.1 mm, seven 0.125 mm, club 0.6 mm; funicle 1.825 mm; scape 0.72 as long as funicle; vestiture of dense narrow, elongate, white scales, with numerous erect seta­like scales; club elongate, oval, acuminate, vestiture of fine, velvety pile, with few erect setae; club longer than segments 4–7. Thorax: Length: 1.5 mm. Width: 2.0 mm. 0.75 as long as broad; margins subparallel, broadly rounded to constriction; disc moderately convex in lateral view; disc with feeble indication of median carina; punctures small with short, erect, narrow, elongate, testaceous scales; base sinuate, with median declivity; mesosternal intercoxal process prominent, clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales; scutellum medium, convex, as long as broad, vestiture white, divided medially; anteroventral macula of narrow, elongate, bifid, dirty, white scales; some narrow, elongate, bifid, white scales on pleuron; mesepimeron with dorsal fringe of long, narrow, bifid, white scales; mesepisternum sparsely clothed with long, narrow, bifid, white scales; metepisternum with narrow, elongate, white scales, with acute apices; procoxae clothed with narrow, elongate, bifid, white scales. Elytra: Length: 3.0 mm; wider than base of pronotum; base sinuate; striae prominent with deep punctures and narrow, elongate, white scales; humeri prominent with shallow posterior declivity; intervals flat, broad, clothed with short, narrow, testaceous scales and scattered longer, narrow, white scales, with acute apices; crosshatched setae erect, long and piceous. Legs: Length of hind femur 2.5 mm, tooth medium­sized, thorn shaped; tooth small on pro­ and mesofemur; hind femur lacking proximolateral sulcus; vestiture of all femora of narrow, elongate, white scales, with some testaceous scales mixed, all with acute apices; pro­ and mesouncus large, as long or longer than tarsal claw; metauncus bifid. Abdomen: Sternite 1 longer than 2 behind coxal cavity, with broad, shallow, median declivity; sternite 2 ascending to 3; sternite 3 slightly longer than 4; sternite 5 not as long as 3 and 4 combined, with emarginate apex; vestiture of all sternites similar, with narrow, elongate, bifid, white scales, with sternites 1 and 2 having a narrow lateral macula of broader, elongate, dirty white scales. Pygidium: Small , clothed with short, white, seta­like scales. Genitalia: Median lobe of aedeagus 1.3 mm in length, 0.25 mm in width; sides narrow, evenly tapered to gradual arc to rounded apex, rather thin and flat in lateral view; apodeme 1.2 mm in length ( Figs. 57–58 View Figs ).

Distribution. China: Sichuan Province, Emei Shan, 800–1,000 M, 23 May 1957, K. Huang; Baihuashan Province, Beijing, 19 June 1951, IZAS.

Remarks. This species is close to C. tonkeninsis , but can be separated by white macula on mesepimeron, white bifid scutellum, shorter rostrum and male genitalia. It is named in honor of the senior author’s good friends the Charles Shopfner family.
