Type species: Lemula decipiens Bates, 1884 .
Description. This nominotypical subgenus is characterized by the following characters: Pronotum strongly constricted near anterior third with transversely swollen apical collar, and weakly constricted in front of posterior margin, widest at across lateral tubercles; legs with hind tarsi short, less than 0.6 times of the length of hind tibiae.
