Description. Male: BL = 7.2–7.6 mm. Head, pronotum and elytra burnished maroon; antennae and legs blackish brown except for reddish femora; ventral surface mostly reddish brown with yellow last abdominal ventrite. Head and pronotum provided with intermixed different length of flying pale hairs which are randomly directed; antennae scattered with pale hairs on antennomeres I–V and thin pubescence on remainder; elytra moderately furnished with fine slanted whitish hairs intermixed rather thick long erect setaceous whitish hairs which are slightly longer than slanted ones.

Head wider than pronotum, moderately provided with uneven size punctures; genae very short; temples roundly narrowed toward neck; vertex deeply concave; antennae reaching middle of elytra, relative lengths of antennomeres from base to apex as follows: 29: 10: 20: 19: 30: 25: 27: 25: 26: 23: 33.

Pronotum as long as width across lateral tubercles (PL/PW= 1.00), constricted at a little behind anterior margin and slightly so before basal margin, with a blunt tubercles near middle of each side; disk moderately convex without distinct median longitudinal depression, moderately and rather uniformly punctured. Scutellum elongate triangular.

Elytra longer than twice humeral width (EL/EW = 2.20), disk rather sparsely furnished with deep punctures, space between punctures wider than twice size of each puncture.

Endophallus (Type B). Dorsal view: CT, PB and APH nearly same width with weak pc and distinct ac; dm Hshaped; APH almost round shaped. Lateral view: CT moderately inflated ventrally; dorsum of CT and PB evenly flattened and deeply constricted ventrally by pc; ventral inflation of PB produced distally; APH oval.

Female: BL = 8.1–8.5 mm. PL/PW = 0.98; EL/EW = 2.11. Antennae reaching basal third of elytra, relative lengths of antennomeres from base to apex as follows: 28: 9: 17: 18: 26: 19: 22: 18: 20: 20: 25. Elytra gently delated to apical fourth, then rounded to apices.

Etymology. Species name derived from Jinfoshan, the type locality of this new species.

Type series. Holotype ( IZCAS): ♂, Jinfoshan (ł佛m), 2,000 m, Nanchuan-Shi, Chongqing, China, Sorbus , 30-V-2000, W.-I Chou leg. (G-1010).

Paratypes: [ China]: Jinfoshan (ł佛m), Nanchuan-Shi, Chongqing, China [1♂, 1♀, 2,000 m, Sorbus , 30-V- 2000, W.-I Chou leg. (G-1037); 2♀♀, 2,100 m, 30-V-1998, W.-I Chou leg.]

Distribution. China (Chongquing).

Ecology. Flight period: May. Visiting flower record: Sorbus .

Remarks. This new species is similar to L. testaceipennis , L. setigera and L. zhani by intermixed long erect or suberect hairs and slanted short hairs on the elytra, but the species are distinguishable from each other by the different characters of endophallus. This new species is also characterized by the shorter feeble pronotal hairs and dark elytra.
