Leucophenga flaviclypeata View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 K, 5A, 5B, 9A, 19)
Diagnosis. This species resembles L. aculeata sp. nov. in having the thorax mostly dark colored ( Figs. 4 View FIGURE 4 C, 4D, 5A, 5B), the wing fuscous along R1 only ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G, K), and in the color patterns of abdominal tergites in male ( Figs. 8 View FIGURE 8 F, 9A), but can be distinguished from the latter by the paramere lacking any remarkable wrinkle ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 C), and the aedeagus slender, slightly broadened distally ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 D).
Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 2 setae above ocellar setae. Frons yellow. Pedicel and first flagellomere yellow. Clypeus yellow. Palpus yellow. Mesonotum entirely brown ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A). Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 8–10 irregular rows ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A). Scutellum entirely dark brown ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B). Pleura, katepisternum and meron mostly brown above ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B). Wing ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 K): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 4–5 peg-like spinules on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites dark brown ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A), with a pair of yellow patches submedially between 2nd to 3rd tergites. Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 5 setae near posterior margin per side ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 A). Surstylus rounded apically ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 A). Hypandrium with 2 sensilla ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 B). Paramere with ca. 5 sensilla distally ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 C).
