Leucophenga aculeata View in CoL sp. nov.

( Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 G, 4C, 4D, 8F, 8G, 15)

Diagnosis. This species resembles L. flaviclypeata sp. nov. in having the thorax mostly dark colored ( Figs. 4 View FIGURE 4 C, 4D, 5A, 5B), the wing fuscous along R1 only ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G, K), and in the color patterns of abdominal tergites in male ( Figs. 8 View FIGURE 8 F, 9A), but can be distinguished from the latter by the paramere with a remarkable wrinkle subdorsally ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 C), and the aedeagus needle-shaped apically ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 D); see below that species.

Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 2–3 setae above ocellar setae. Frons yellow to brownish yellow. Pedicel brownish yellow; first flagellomere yellow. Clypeus brownish. Palpus yellow to brownish yellow. Mesonotum brownish yellow, with four brown, longitudinal stripes submedially and laterally in male ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C), brown before scutellum and brownish laterally in female. Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 10–12 irregular rows ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C). Scutellum dark brown, yellow at tip in male ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C), brownish, dark brown laterally, brownish yellow at tip in female. Pleura and katepisternum mostly brown above ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Meron mostly brownish to brown above ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Wing ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 5–6 peglike spinules on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites dark brown to black ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 F, G), with a pair of yellow patches submedially between 2nd to 3rd tergites, 4th tergite with a pair of yellow patches subanteromedially in female ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 G). Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 6 setae near posterior margin per side ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 A). Surstylus rounded apically ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 A). Hypandrium with 1 sensillum ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 B). Paramere with ca. 6 sensilla aligned above wrinkle and ca. 3 sensilla distally ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 C).
