This species was observed seven times in zone 1 and once in zone 2, at depths between 85 and 102 m ( Tab. I, Fig. 3 View Figure 3 ). The specimens measured approximately 5 cm (TL); body coloration purple along the belly, orange on the back. Caudal fin yellowish, with a purple stripe on each lobe. This species was observed in schools of several hundred individuals above the relief or along the drop-off in the mesophotic zone.
