Penthina bryana Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875 View in CoL : plate 137, fig. 54 ( Ceylon). Sorolopha bryana: Diakonoff, 1973: 89 View in CoL , figs. 139-141 (3, Ƥ genit.).
Diagnosis. This species is distinguished by the hindwing bearing a row of long scales along lower edge of cell and CuA1, and the posterior tibia in the male conspicuously broadened by rough black scales. There is a slight difference between the male genitalia of our specimen and that of the holotype from Sri Lanka: in our specimen the cucullus has a broad, almost rectangular apex, whereas in the holotype the cucullus has an elongate-oval apex.
Material examined. China: 13, Mt. Wuyi (26°54' N, 116°42' E), Fujian Province, 600 m, 27-V-2004, leg. Haili Yu.
Distribution. China (Fujian, Taiwan), Sri Lanka.
Remarks. Kawabe et al. (1992) recorded this species from Taiwan.
