Sorolopha karsholti Kawabe, 1989: 29 View in CoL , figures 16, 108, 132, 133 (3, Ƥ, Thailand)
Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the abdomen bearing three pairs of short, dense, hair clusters on the lateral sides. It resembles S. sphaerocopa (Meyrick) in genitalia, especially those of the female, but it can be easily separated from the latter by its external appearance ( Kawabe 1989). Slight differences in male genitalia between the two species also are present. In S. karsholti , the socius bears sparse spines throughout, the valva has a distinctly long neck, and the left and the right sacculus are spindlelike. In S. sphaerocopa , the socius bears dense bristles apically, the valva has a short neck, and the left sacculus is rectangular and the right one is spindlelike.
Material examined. China: 33, Longling County (24°35' N, 98°41' E), Yunnan Province, 2300 m, 10- VIII-2005, leg. Yingdang Ren.
