Distribution
The species occurs in central and eastern Europe, north and eastern Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. In Russia, it is known from the European part and West Siberia (up to Krasnoyarsk in the north-east).
Biology
The beetles and larvae feed on horse dung.
