Notes. This species produces elongated, yellowish-brown plasmodiocarps and simple peridium, which, after dehiscence, forms slightly triangular reflex lobules, with the inner side white, similar to the dehiscence by plates in some Diderma species. Similar to Ph. hongkongense Chao H. Chung , which also develops triple peridium but differs by its laterally compressed, yellowish plasmodiocarps and predominantly longitudinal dehiscence, with scanty lobes.
