Notes. The Peruvian material matched the typical form of the species except for the primary branches of the capillitium, moderately widened at the base. Previously recorded in Japan ( GBIF 2022, Poulain et al. 2011) First record in the Neotropics. In Peru, it is only known from the department of Huancavelica. It inhabits the base of the dead leaves of Puya sp.
